Becky Johnson

Host

Becky Johnson is a veteran of the Canadian comedy scene currently based in Toronto. She is an alumna of the Toronto Second City Mainstage, has created and toured her own scripted and improvised shows internationally and has appeared in iconic Canadian plays including the European premiere of Daniel MacIvor’s A Beautiful View and the world premiere of Sheila Heti’s All Our Happy Days Are Stupid. Becky has been nominated for seven Canadian Comedy Awards and has won two. On screen, she can be found in Space Riders: Division Earth (CTV Extend/Hulu), The Amazing Gayl Pile (CBC/LaRue Entertainment), Odd Squad (PBS/Sinking Ship), The Beaverton (Comedy Network/Pier 21 Films), Baroness Von Sketch Show (Frantic Films/IFC), What We Do In The Shadows (FX), Workin’ Moms (CBC), animated series Gary and His Demons (Blue Ant/Look Mom) and more. Becky has written for This Hour Has 22 Minutes,  Baroness Von Sketch Show and Because News.

Dan Beirne

Co-Host

Dan Beirne is an actor, writer, and improviser. He was most recently a lead on TBS’ The Guest Book, and has been a regular on hit shows like Fargo (FX) and Workin’ Moms (Netflix, CBC). His appearances range from Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu) to You’re The Worst (FX) to American Gods (Starz) as well as his award-winning digital series Dad Drives and Space Riders: Division Earth.

Dan most recently appears as Prime Minister McKenzie King in Matthew Rankin’s The 20th Century.

Stacey McGunnigle

Producer

Stacey McGunnigle is an award winning comedian and writer. After three award winning revues which earned her numerous Canadian Comedy Award awards most notably for Breakout Artist of the Year Stacey has recently returned to the Second City Stage. Stacey was hailed by Variety Magazine as the “breakout of Pilot Season” after landing the lead role in NBC’s comedy pilot Ellen More or Less. Stacey is also the co-host of the successful podcast Regular Girls with WWE’s Renee Young. The podcast has already hit over 1.5 million listens and counting.

Stacey also wrote, produced, and starred in Stacey Helps an original series for Zooey Deschanel’s site HelloGiggles which was most notably featured in Fast Company for its success. Stacey can also be found writing and performing in original revues with her comedy partners Jason DeRosse (Second City) and Rob Baker (Workin’ Moms) which have earned them “Best Of The Fringe”, “Critics Pick” and being named one of the “Top 10 Comedy Shows Of The Year” by NOW Magazine.
